Wales made the start to the campaign we were all looking for at Home on one of our banker greens dropping only 17 chalks,
Away at Greenhalls Social Club St Helens WALES 238 MERSYSIDE 199
A great performance by all the lads on a very tricky green on a hot day and only dropping 14 chalks in the match clearly indicates their supremacy’
June 2013 v North Lancs & Fylde
Home at Vardre Bowling Club WALES 199 NORTH LANCS & Fylde 217
With a change in the weather making the green run very fast Wales struggled to match a very strong visiting County who produced some great bowling on the day and deserved their victory.
Away at Leyland & Farington Club, Leyland WALES 187 N LANCS & Fylde 187
On a very difficult fast running green Wales did very well to hold their opponents to 40 chalks
July 2013 v Staffordshire
Home at Gresford Colliery WALES 182 v STAFFORDSHIRE 224
With the Gresford Colliery green running very fast Wales found it very hard to overcome their opponents who bowled the green superbly and in the end Wales lost the match by a very disappointing 42 chalks.
Away at Short Heath Liberal Club, Willenhall WALES 197 STAFFODSHIRE 232
On a fiery very difficult green Wales fought very hard to match a strong opposition and all bowlers could be proud of their efforts.

Wales can look back with some pride at their results at Irlam especially wit a number of new caps representing their Country.
It was with regret that Mr Andrew Hughes & Mr Nick Hughes found it necessary to resign as Selectors due to work commitments; I would wish to sincerely thank them for all their time, effort, and expertise & support them together with fellow selectors Mr Barry Harris.
