Steve Dace

With his majestic catwalk delivery, his expert touch bowling skill and his cast iron determination, Steve Dace is both a player worth watching and in competition, a player well worth avoiding! Steve is a Bowler who can stand toe to toe with anybody and has the self belief and all around game to force even the elite players of this game into submission.

Steve Dace has a reputation as an excellent competition bowler having won the Incorporation Cup at Eirias Park in 2007 against an excellent jam packed field of competition. Steve is very much a fixture on the local area competition circuit and has even tried his hand further a field having a great deal of success. In 2008 Steve qualified and competed in the Welsh Merit finals where he reached the Semi and thus qualified for the All England Tournament, reaching the last 8 which is one of the finest performances from a Welsh player in a very long time.

In the last few seasons Steve Dace has forced his way into the Welsh County set up where he has now won numerous caps, with a stunning performance last season at Trefnant Bowling Club being his highlight reel moment as he turned in a man of the match performance on a very tricky green. That victory has cemented Steve’s reputation as a top County bowler and has catapulted Steve Dace into a position where he is now considered a regular within the Welsh squad.

At club level Steve Dace is true journey man having played for a number of different clubs. Over the last few seasons alone Steve Dace has competed in three different Leagues on a weekly basis, competing for three different Bowling Clubs!

On a Tuesday, Steve is a member of the St.Asaph side that compete in the Blackwell Hydraulics Welsh County League (Super League) where he is one of their top marks and a regular winner. On a Wednesday, Steve is the Captain and number one block for Eirias Park in the Llandudno and Colwyn Midweek League and is annually a fixture towards the top of the League averages. And, in addition to being Captain of Eirias Park, Steve is also the Captain of high flying Denbigh in the North Wales Coast League where once again he is their main man and respected at every bowling Club that his side visits!

Steve is a likable and competitive man. He is a player that enjoys playing under pressure situations and carries responsibility over his shoulders without breaking a single sweat. Steve Dace plays his best stuff on a lightening quick green and Llanfair PG may well be suited to his all around game.
