Welsh Club Championship Rules                                    

1.    To be played for by the County Cup Area winners, who must compete in this event, and the winner to represent the Association in the British Club Championship.

2.    Prize money to be determined annually by the Management Committee.

3.    Competition venue :- The competition to be played at a venue to be nominated by the W.C.G.B.A. Management  Committee or relevant sub-committee thereof, prior to the competition.

4.    Teams to consist of 8 players and 2 reserves who shall be declared 10 minutes prior to the commencement of the competition. 

5.   All games to start at 11.00.

6.   Scoring :-    The result will be determined by Total Aggregate

7.    Before the start of the competition one player per team is to be nominated to play one game of eleven up in the event of a drawn match.

8.    Captains must submit in writing, in the order of play, his or her team, to the official in charge, including the reserves 10 minutes before the semi-final and final commences. Individual players may be substituted by a named reserve, but any such changes must be declared to the I.O.C. and opposing captain.

9.   The Official In Charge will on receipt of the two teams pair off the relevant numbered  players of each team.

10.  All players must be present and available to take the green when called. If a player is not present at this time then his opponent is awarded the game 21-nil.

11.  Order of play :-

Semi-Final :-      Players numbered 1 + 2 from the four teams shall commence the match. On completion of a game the next pair in sequence to follow.

Final :-              Players numbered 1 to 4 shall commence the match. On completion of a game the next pair to follow,

12. To decide who leads the jack in each game :-

Before the start of each match the two Captains will toss a coin and the Captain winning the toss chooses 'odd' or 'even' NUMBERS from the official match card. The individual score cards also are marked to show who has the jack.

13.  Should a team fail to turn up they will be reported to the W.C.G.B.A. and a round robin shall be played as in teams X,Y,Z.

14.  All players must be registered with the B.C.G.B.A. and the W.C.G.B.A.. In default a player will forfeit his/her game 21-0 and the matter will be reported to the W.C.G.B.A. for further consideration.

15.  All players are subject to random testing for drugs. Any bowler who refuses to sign a declaration that he/she signifies his/her willingness to be tested during practice or competition will be reported to the W.C.G.B.A. who shall immediately suspend that player in taking part in any competitive Crown Green Bowling pending an enquiry.

16.  In the event of any matter arising not covered by these rules then the decision of the Official in Charge is final and binding.
