    Wrexham News 2011 Season

It was a deja vu Cyril Adams cup final, with the final being being fought out between Llay A and Gresford Colliery A and played at the Cunliffe Arms bowling green for the second year running. This time Gresford Colliery won through to take the cup and the honour of representing the Wrexham Area in the Welsh Club Championship which will be held in the Glyndwr Area.

As seen from the result sheet below Llay lost the first four games, of which gave the Colliery team a healthy lead of 28 points, which proved to be far to great for The Llay team to claw back.

*** Arguably the most prestigious competition of the season is to be held on the Cunliffe Green this Sunday, the 21st of August. Gresford Colliery A and Llay A will contest the final of The Cyril Adams Cup (County Cup). Come along and see what should be a fantastic match, that is if last year's encounter is anything to go by when the same two teams met on the same green in the same competition, with Llay A just coming out on top, see details below. ***
